U.N. racism investigator to visit the U.S. May 19-June 6, 2008.
The "investigator," of course, is the representative of a predominantly Muslim country, Senegal (h/t to No Sheeples Here).
This piece by Stephanie Nebehay at Reuters, reports:
"The special rapporteur will...gather first-hand information on issues related to racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance," a U.N. statement said on Friday.Nebehay appears to offer her own opinion (unless quotation marks have gone astray):
Race has become a central issue in the U.S. election cycle because Sen. Barack Obama, the frontrunner in the battle for the Democratic nomination battle, stands to become the country's first African American president. The U.N. Special Rapporteur has also "investigated" America's bias against Islam, our courts' application of the death penalty, (which, of course, is also biased, according to the U.N.), and our "hate" crimes (display of hangman's nooses).

I see. First condemn Israel, then the US. Racism, racial discrimination, xenophobia and related intolerance is something most UN members practice on a regular basis. And let us add sexism to the list.
Hypocrites!
Findalis, I saw a headline this a.m. about "more" U.N. Peacekeeper sexual abuse in the Congo. (Yawwwnnnnns mixed with rage)...it's so the norm when these bruts are around.
BTW, a BIG welcome to Reject the U.N.'s contributors. Let's roll!

The UN is gonna send a racism investigator to the USA??
Be sure and send him to Alabama, Mississippi and a few other places, he'll get the education of a lifetime...
The really funny part is, he's going to find that a lot of what he sees will be reverse racism...
Fred, excellent point. He'll just chuckle to himself and wonder what kind of magic turned America stupid.
